29. Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because ye build the tombs of the prophets, and garnish the sepulchres of the righteous,

30. And say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets.

31. Wherefore ye be witnesses unto yourselves, that ye are the children of them which killed the prophets.

32. Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers.

33. Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell ?

34. Therefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: some of them shall ye kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city:

35. That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar.

MFM Devotional Today MESSAGE:

The word “grave” means a grave or grave, the place where the dead are buried. In ancient times, honoring the dead involved the use of lime in burial mounds when bones and rot were inside. This is the meaning that the Lord Jesus Christ used to expel the Pharisees and scribes for their deception.

A grave marked by an evil person who pretends to be righteous, a hypocrite or an evil person who inside and kills but does not claim to be righteous. Christ denounced the Jewish leaders for their hypocrisy and gave convincing evidence.

As a devout believer in God, your ways should be clear and your conscience free from guilt before God and men. It should not be a matter of being holy in the church and being a sinner outside the church. The mark of true Christianity is that you do not have your own way of life when you are in public and when you are not. Your confession should be your practice both publicly and privately.

Jesus’ main challenge with the Pharisees was to get their attention. They seemed to have good intentions, but all was not well. Jesus knew the condition of their heart. The human heart is like a computer. Anything you eat will determine what comes out of it. It is the human heart that determines its destiny.

The reason why some people come to church without being blessed is the condition of their hearts. Their hypocritical hearts are hardened, so that they cannot find out anything from God. If the Pharisees had allowed the message of Jesus Christ to penetrate their hearts, their views would have been different. If you allow God to work in your heart, your success will be immeasurable. Your heart reflects what you are.

Examine your health and evaluate the benefits of what you are doing. If you see any hypocrisy in your life, turn around and open a new leaf.
