OPENING PRAYER: Father, help me to fit in Your plan for this age.
PREVIOUS KNOWLEDGE: Leader should remind members that inspired request through the Holy Spirit receives divine response.
MEMORY VERSE: “Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the Lord. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the Lord.” – Jeremiah 23:24 (KJV)
BIBLE TEXT: Genesis 28:10-18 (KJV)
10 And Jacob went out from Beersheba and went toward Haran.
11 And he lighted upon a certain place, and tarried there all night, because the sun was set; and he took of the stones of that place, and put them for his pillows, and lay down in that place to sleep.
12 And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it.
13 And, behold, the Lord stood above it, and said, I am the Lord God of Abraham thy father, and the God of Isaac: the land whereon thou liest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed.
14 And thy seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and thou shalt spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south: and in thee and in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed.
15 And, behold, I am with thee, and will keep thee in all places whither thou goest, and will bring thee again into this land; for I will not leave thee, until I have done that which I have spoken to thee of.
16 And Jacob awaked out of his sleep, and he said, Surely the Lord is in this place; and I knew it not.
17 And he was afraid, and said, how dreadful is this place! this is none other but the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven.
18 And Jacob rose up early in the morning and took the stone that he had put for his pillows, and set it up for a pillar, and poured oil upon the top of it.
Introduction to the Lesson
In today’s world, many people do not believe in God because they do not see Him. But as believers, we know Him as a God who is ubiquitous, personally present, and lives with His people. The Bible teaches that man can know God only by what he reveals.

A. Lesson objectives:
To understand our God’s omnipresence, God can reveal Himself in many different ways.
B. Purpose of the lesson:
By the end of the lesson, members will be able to:
- i. We know that God can reveal Himself to people in many ways.
- ii. Know what you must do before accessing God’s presence.
C. Text validation:
Genesis 28:10-18
- i. The omnipresent God can appear at any time and receive your wishes.
- ii. Whenever God reveals himself, He makes a new covenant with you.
D. Teaching methods:
Leaders use lecturing/educational methods while ensuring a space for members to contribute.
E. Time Management:
Share class times and use suggested schedules.
Short lesson 1:
Let’s Recognize Some Ways God Reveals Himself to Man in the Bible
- Through Creation, Romans 1:19-20, Psalm 19:1-6
- Through covenants and promises to his people Genesis 12:1-3, Genesis 9:8-17
- Through God’s Visitation, Exodus 3:1-6, 1 Samuel 3:6-11, Acts 9:1-9
- Through his intervention and great deeds.
Since God is an omnipresent God, He is in God’s presence means:
A. God opens our eyes, ears, and hearts so that we can see and feel His closeness concretely, Genesis 28:16
B. A trembling, awe-inspiring manifestation of God, Psalm 114:7, Exodus 40:34
C. Seeking God, either individually or as a group, through prayer, worship, or study of God’s Word, attracts His presence – 2 Chronicles 5:14.
Activity: Give examples of areas where God has been revealed to be omnipresent.
Conclusion: Nothing beats the presence of God. In His presence we find rest, abundant joy, coverage, healing, peace, grace, deliverance, spiritual growth, and many other blessings. Why not start getting closer to him than ever before?
Prayer Points:
- Father, we adore and worship You as an omnipresent God.
- Father, help me to avoid those who hate my presence.
- Father, help me to seek You and dwell in Your presence every day.
- Father, may your presence bring me a blessing rather than a condemnation. Father, by your mercy, keep all your contracts with the RCCG.
- May Father always remain an omnipresent God to Papa G.O. and his whole family.
