TOPIC: Holy Spirit, My Senior Partner (II) (Mountain Of Fire and Miracle Ministries, MFM Devotional 8 July 2022)

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: 2 Kings 16, 2 Kings 17, Acts 26:24-32, Acts 27:1-12, Psalm 81:8-18

FIRE SCRIPTURE: Acts 8:26-39 (KJV)

26 And the angel of the Lord spake unto Philip, saying, Arise, and go toward the south unto the way that goeth down from Jerusalem unto Gaza, which is desert.

27 And he arose and went: and, behold, a man of Ethiopia, an eunuch of great authority under Candace queen of the Ethiopians, who had the charge of all her treasure, and had come to Jerusalem for to worship,

28 Was returning, and sitting in his chariot read Esaias the prophet.

29 Then the Spirit said unto Philip, Go near, and join thyself to this chariot.

30 And Philip ran thither to him, and heard him read the prophet Esaias, and said, Understandest thou what thou readest?

31 And he said, How can I, except some man should guide me? And he desired Philip that he would come up and sit with him.

32 The place of the scripture which he read was this, He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and like a lamb dumb before his shearer, so opened he not his mouth:

33 In his humiliation his judgment was taken away: and who shall declare his generation? for his life is taken from the earth.

34 And the eunuch answered Philip, and said, I pray thee, of whom speaketh the prophet this? of himself, or of some other man?

35 Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus.

36 And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized?

37 And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

38 And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him.

39 And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing.

MEMORY VERSE: “Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.” – Zechariah 4:6

MFM Devotional For Today MESSAGE:

Yesterday, we established the fact that you need to make the Holy Spirit your Senior Partner in order to succeed in life and eternity. Today, we shall examine how you can make the Holy Spirit your Senior Partner.

First, you should be addicted to God’s word. You know the will of God through His word. The Holy Spirit, as your Senior Partner, will remind you of all that Jesus taught you. He will give you understanding and the grace to do the Lord’s bidding. Second, you will have the Holy Spirit as your Senior Partner by living a consistent life of purity and obedience. Make the Holy Spirit your guide, teacher and director. He is all-knowing. Submit to His leadership and guidance in your business, career, marriage and ministry. Are you a preacher? Get your sermon from Him. He knows those who will be in church and their needs.

Third, you should build your day to day and moment by moment relationship with the Holy Spirit. When you are consistent with this, He will become your Senior Partner and reveal the Father, the Son and Himself to you more deeply. Similarly, your level of infilling will increase and you will manifest greater dimension of anointing and miracles.

In addition, you can make the Holy Spirit your Senior Partner through evangelism. This is sometimes called corporate partnership. In Acts 8, the Ethiopian eunuch’s conversion was accomplished by the collaborative effort or partnership between the Holy Spirit and Philip. In Acts 8, the Bible says, “Then the Spirit said unto Philip, Go near, and join thyself to this chariot. And Philip ran thither to him, and heard him read the prophet Esaias, and said, Understandest thou what thou readest? And he said, How can I, except some man should guide me? And he desired Philip that he would come up and sit with him.”

I would like you to know that it was the Holy Spirit that gave Philip the strategies for converting the Ethiopian eunuch; He guided Philip to preach Jesus to the man and baptised him with water. In the end, the man said, “I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God (Acts 8:37). Beloved, partner with the Holy Spirit and harvest souls for Christ in these last days.

PRAYER POINTS:

MORNING

1. I surrender to the leadership of the Holy Spirit, in the name of Jesus.
2. Anything hindering the flow and operation of the Holy Spirit in my life die, in the name of Jesus.
3. The Holy Spirit will not depart from me, in the name of Jesus.

EVENING

4. I declare that the Holy Spirit is my Helper, in the name of Jesus.
5. I declare that the Holy Spirit is my Comforter, in the name of Jesus.
6. I declare that the Holy Spirit is the One that moves me, in the name of Jesus.
7. Holy Spirit, the Custodian of the anointing, anoint me today, in the name of Jesus.
