TOPIC: Hope For Atheists (DCLM Daily Manna 2 December 2022)
TEXT: Psalm 14:1-7 (KJV)
1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.
2 The Lord looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.
3 They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
4 Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread, and call not upon the Lord.
5 There were they in great fear: for God is in the generation of the righteous.
6 Ye have shamed the counsel of the poor, because the Lord is his refuge.
7 Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! when the Lord bringeth back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.
KEY VERSE: “The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good” (Psalm 14:1).
DCLM DAILY MANNA MESSAGE
The painful snare of those who deny the existence of God here on earth and in eternity is terrible. When atheists reject their Creator, they are really rejecting the peace and vast wealth that are freely available to those who sympathize with God’s existence. Unfortunately, they will find themselves in a losing-lose situation if they do not let go of their antipathy toward God.
Of course, because God is the symbol of unparalleled moral behavior, renouncing God’s existence means being on the other side of where God is. The Bible lists what applies when the Lord disapproves. There is heinous deeds and corruption. Simply put, “They all went aside and got dirty together.
No one is doing good, no, no one.
Much of humanity is deep in the bowels of immorality and deprivation simply because they deny God and His power to redeem them from their misery. They remain adrift because they continue to rely on false doomsday doctrines and religious systems that do not teach that if one does not abide in the Lord, they are lost forever.
But while her condition looks pathetic, there is still hope. May the Lord provide a way out for those who regain their sanity and seek forgiveness for their rebellion. He forgives them when they accept Christ’s undying love for sinners and traitors who come to him with true repentance.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Christ will save the atheist who repents.
