INTRODUCTION

OKOPI PETERSON whose full name is ADIKU, PETERSON OKOPI is a gospel artist, songwriter, and music teacher who signed to TWC RECORDS based in Lagos Nigeria. Okopi Peterson is from Otukpo Local Government Area in Benue State but lives in Lagos Nigeria.

He comes from a family of six children, born to Mr. and Mrs. Adikwu to her loving parents and had a wonderful childhood full of memorable experiences. His musical journey began at a very young age of 7 and since then, he has grown to become the name and voice that everyone wants to associate with as his music ministry has been a great blessing to many who have met him.

With four key songs in his debt and the release of his debut album, Peterson Okopi will take the world to Christ and position himself as a channel of blessing for his generation. Peterson is one of Nigeria’s most respected music educators right now and this is reflected in many YouTube videos of his performances in the top churches of Nigeria.

EARLY LIFE

Peterson Okopi was born on August 8, 1997, in Lagos Nigeria, to Benue’s parents Mr. and Mrs. Adikwu. He grew up in Nigerian Airforce Base in Ikeja Lagos where his father worked as airmen. She comes from a family of six children and enjoys the love and support of her rowing family. This great love and support from his family helped him discover his musical talent at a very young age of 5.

EDUCATION

Peterson Okopi has his primary and secondary education at Nigerian Airforce primary and secondary school in Lagos, after high school, he went on to Yaba College of Technology (Yaba Tech) in Lagos, where he continued his education and obtained an Ordinary National Diploma in. English. He is currently a student of the National Open University of Nigeria (Noun) doing a B.Sc in Mass Communication.

CAREER

Growing up in a music family, where both parents were music lovers, Peterson Okopi began singing at a very young age. At the age of seven, he began serving as a solo artist in his church choir, and over the years, he has grown to become a full-time artist serving in various churches throughout the country. He has served on one of Africa’s largest platforms and church events such as MMPRAISE.

An annual music concert organized by the REDEMED CHRISTIAN CHURCH OF GOD (RCCG) to celebrate the birthday of their Overseer, Rev. E.A. Adeboye, ZION MEETING COMMONWEALTH OF ZION (COZA), MASS CONCERT, REFLECTION CONCERT to name a few. He also shared categories with top gospel music companies such as CHEVELE FRANKLIN, NATHANIEL BASSEY, DUNSIN OYEKAN, JUDIKAY, EFE NATHAN, Beejay Sax, VICTORIA ORENZE etc.

DISCOGRAPHY

Osuba (Album) Peterson Is Out In 2018, Peterson Okopi released his first song titled AMAZING GOD, a year after following the great success of the song, He released BABA his second song in 2019 and he was very popular with many. In 2020, he released his third song UP TO SOMETHING under the auspices of Twc Records after his signing on the label.

In 2021 he released another saying; OGA EME and Visual of his song AMAZING GOD in preparation for the release of his debut album released MAY 2021 under the auspices of TWC RECORDS. ÒSÚBÀ’s album was one of the most anticipated 2021 albums and is currently listening to the album, no doubt ÒSÚBÀ ‘s album was worth the wait.
