Eternals 2021: In the beginning… The Eternals are a group of ancient aliens who have lived on Earth in secret for thousands of years.

When an unforeseen catastrophe forces them to come out of the shadows, they are forced to unite to fight the enemy of ancient humanity, the Deviants.

Eternals is a 2021 American epic film based on the Marvel Comics competition of the same name.

Produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, the 26th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

The film is directed by Chloé Zhao, screenwriter and Patrick Burleigh, Ryan Firpo, and Kaz Firpo.

It stars many actors including Gemma Chan, Richard Madden, Kumail Nanjiani, Lia McHugh, Brian Tyree Henry, Lauren Ridloff, Barry Keoghan, Don Lee, Harish Patel, Kit Harington, Salma Hayek and Angelina Jolie.

In this film, the Eternals, an immortal foreign nation, emerges from hiding after thousands of years to protect the Earth from its ancient counterparts, the Deviants.

In April 2018, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige announced that the Eternals-based film had begun development, with Ryan and Kaz Firpo hiring to write the script in May.

Zhao was to direct the film at the end of September, and was given the important freedom of creativity with the film, which led to more local filming than previous MCU films.

Zhao rewrote screenplay, which Burleigh reportedly later contributed to. The main photography took place from July 2019 to February 2020, at Pinewood Studios and in London and Oxford, England, and the Canary Islands.

The Eternals were first shown in Los Angeles on October 18, 2021, and were released in the United States on November 5, as part of the MCU Phase Four.

The film grossed $ 402 million worldwide, becoming the 10th highest grossing film of 2021.

It received mixed reviews from critics, who praised its themes and visual images, but criticized its screen play, slow motion, running time, and character development.
