Chidinma Short Bio.
Chidinma Ekile (born 2 May 1991), known professionally as Chidinma, is a Nigerian hip-hop turned gospel singer and songwriter. She rose to stardom in 2010 after winning the third season of Project Fame West Africa. After the release of the music video for her single “Emi Ni Baller”, she became the first female artist to top the MTV Base Official Naija Top 10 chart.
In 2011, she released the Sound Sultan-assisted single “Jankoliko”. Her self-titled debut album Chidinma was released through music platform Spinlet; it was supported by the singles “Jankoliko”, “Carry You Go”, “Kedike” and “Run Dia Mouth”. The album features guest appearances by Sound Sultan, Tha Suspect, Olamide and Muna.
Chidinma won the 2012 Kora Awards for Best Female Performance in West Africa and performed the song “Kedike” at the dentist’s ceremony. She recently signed with Eezee Concept and released a gospel song as a kingdom woman titled “Jehovah Overdo”. Chidima Ekile’s latest album is Holy (outside out)
