Baba Ara – OluwaShalom
Nigerian gospel singer and vocal coach OluwaShalom brings you a brand new song titled “Baba Ara” produced by Nathan Florocka Akiremi.
The exquisite singer in this folk tune shares a very intuitive description of God as a “miracle-working god”.
According to her, “In a world filled with fear, anxiety and uncertainty, we all need a voice of hope. Hope that does not deny the existing realities but presents a higher knowledge that leads us to a place of peace and sanity and strength to face everything and to strive in faith for a victory in the end.”
“Jesus Christ is that hope, that power, that value in our lives and more than anyone else. He is the “Baba ara to m’oyi ooo” – The miracle father who values his children.” – she concludes.
The song “Baba Ara”, titled Yoruba [a language widely spoken in the southwestern region of Nigeria], translates simply literally as “Wonder Working Father”.
OluwaShalom is no stranger to the gospel music scene as she has a résumé of top charting songs such as ‘I Believe’, ‘Oba Ara’, ‘Dear Me’ and ‘Broken Piano’ to name a few. She has also worked with big names in the gospel scene such as Onos Ariyo, Mike Abdul, Gbenga Akinfenwa, Amy Berna and Lester Lewis, as well as countless producers such as Rotimikeys, MichaelTone, Phatstrings, Juzzypro and Florocka.
