Arlana Miller: Southern University Student Commit Suicide
College student Arlana Miller Leaves Sad Message On Instagram Minutes Before Suicide.
Following allegations that he wrote a farewell letter on social media, a Southern University and A&M College (SU) student was found dead in the Mississippi River, after his family worried about his whereabouts.
Miller, whose age has not been disclosed, was studying at the HBCU college in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
The leader of the Southern University Jaguars cheerleader shared a long message that worried his family and friends on his Instagram account.
In a post that has now garnered more than 65,000 likes, Miller talked about suicidal thoughts during his teens and how long he has been battling these cravings.
“May this day bring me rest and peace,” wrote Miller. “I have struggled with this desire since I was a little girl. I gave this life all the war I had. To everyone who has come into my life I am very grateful and I can only imagine how this can get you. I was surrounded by people who might have sincerely thought that I was OK, but I did not. ”
A college student then thinks about dealing with Covid, who suffers from injuries and feelings of loneliness most of the time.
“I have fought hard this year alone. From covid to drawing my acl, and almost failing all my classes, ”wrote Miller. “To the people in my life I pray that you learn to express your feelings and get help all the time !!! I failed in that and I was afraid it would be too late. ”
Miller then spoke directly to his mother, who thanked him and reassured him that he was at peace and admitted that he had previously written suicide notes, but was still in his prime.
“MOM, THANK YOU SO MUCH, I pray you know I am resting now! You would give anything to see me happy, give everything to see me happy, ”Miller wrote. “I am happy in the water when everything is calm and peaceful. I have written many suicide notes in my life but in the end, I have come to my conclusion. ”
He wrote that he hoped this would teach people to check out their “strong” friends and be there all the time. Miller said he felt like he was disappointing many people and was losing his connection with God.
I hope this teaches everyone to check your “strong” friends, and be present! I challenge myself but DON’T END IT !!! I know I’m embarrassing a lot of people with what I’m going to do, ”Miller wrote. “But … the truth is I have already disappointed many people all my life and it sounds unbearable. I have lost my connection with God. The devil seems to have won. And okay, I don’t blame anyone for this!”
He concluded by apologizing to his family and friends, saying he had tried to please everyone in his life. Although he loved everyone in his life, he had enough warfare and hoped that those close to him would find peace in his decision.
“Thank you to everyone for everything they did & IM SORRY IM SO SOORRY. But to think about how all other people would feel about my death is not enough either, I have tried to please and make everyone else happy for the rest of my life. I’ve been dead inside for too long. To everyone I love, just remember that this is not your fault and I pray that you do not find fault with me in my case, ”Miller wrote. “To my granddaughter … I wish you were here to tell me I was stupid, to tell me it didn’t help, but you left me and found your peace.”
“I have always been stubborn and arrogant like you,” he continued. “I always wanted to be the person I am today, but it is not enough. They are not enough. I havnt felt enough for a while .. but I say all this to say, I’m done fighting. My war is over and I pray that everyone will have peace in it. ”
Southern University and A&M College released a statement on Twitter expressing their sadness over Miller’s death, noting that he was a native of Texas and focused on agriculture.
