Mabel, a little girl, lives with her father Raymond, mother Penny, and her poorly born sister Isobel. Drunk and irritated by feelings of failure after a visit by wealthy and anxious relatives, Raymond meets a mysterious artist Mr. Van Schoonbeek in the woods one night, and he accepts Van Schoonbeek’s request to move to a new luxury house designed for them.

After the family moved in, Mabel noticed a few unusual things about the house and the staff regularly repaired it, but her parents seemed to be amazed at the house and its luxury so they could notice anything else. Over time, Raymond became more and more obsessed with house decorating, failing to light it up while Penny spent a lot of time sewing drapes (even falling down several times);

Mabel alone seems to notice that the structure of the house is constantly changing in an unpredictable way as she and her sister seem to be the only ones still mentally ill. Mabel is also upset when her parents start wearing Van Schoonbeek-designed clothes that look like their favorite furniture (chair and curtains).

Checking the house one night, Mabel and Isobel find themselves lost in the current course, and they are unable to return to their parents; he eventually stumbled upon Van Schoonbeek’s employee Mr. Thomas.

Thomas admits to the charge that he is simply an actor following the text given to Van Schoonbeek as he had been between his boss and the girls’ parents. Meanwhile, with Thomas’ suggestion a little earlier, Raymond is finally able to light a fire by using the family’s old property (the last of Mabel’s favorite doll dolls) as it burns while being consumed by roaring flames.

When the sisters finally reunited with their parents, they found Raymond and Penny turned into furniture; Raymond in the chair in front of the stove and Penny puts on the curtains. As the fireplace spreads and sets the room on fire, parents seem to be waking up and begging their daughters to flee.

As they fled while their parents burned alive, their sisters Mabel and Isobel watched the smoldering house in the distance as the sun rose behind them, not knowing what would happen.

The story is set in a world full of anthropomorphic rats, and the house featured in the original story is now located on an upgraded city street and is about to be sold. A home-improvement engineer is struggling financially, and his financial future depends on selling a home.

He has just fired his construction workers to cut costs, so he has to do all the work himself. You soon find out that the house is infested with Fur beetles and worms, and you take extreme measures to eliminate it, but to no avail.

On the day of the tour, guests are not impressed by the house; although the view ends in a complete disaster, the unusually stunned couple remains and has expressed a strong interest in buying a house. Unwilling to risk the unscrupulous sale of the couple’s unusual behavior, the developer lets them stay overnight.

Over the next few days, the unusual couple stays stable in the house, the bedbugs come back in force, and the bank keeps trying to repay the loan for an engineer business. The developer decides to stop entertaining the couple, whose bodies are exposed to beetles and worms in a row, only to the many members of the couple’s family who seem to want to enter the house.

At the end of his career, the developer snatches and threatens to kill the couple with boric acid, but he ends up sniffing the mouth and fainting. The developer survives, but is reduced to a state of seemingly inconsistent.

An unusual couple ends up fetching a developer from the hospital and bringing him home, where the couple’s family prepares a reception for him, many of whom are now playing the role of extra bed bugs. The last scene shows a family breaking into a house, climbing walls and chewing on everything like bedbugs.

The developer, having reverted to animal-like intelligence, briefly emerges from the remnants of the oven to eat debris before retreating into a broken oven into a hole in the wall that leads to the ground floor.
