Frank Edwards Short Biography
Frank Ugochukwu Edwards (born 22 July 1989) is a Nigerian Afro highlife singer-songwriter from Enugu State. He is the founder and owner of his label Rocktown Records, home to artists such as Edwards himself, Gil, Divine, King BAS, Nkay, David, Dudu and Micah Heavens. He lives in Lagos, Nigeria.
Early Life
Frank Edwards was born into a family of seven. His real name is Frank Ugochuk Edwards. He was born in Enugu State, Nigeria. He has 5 siblings. At the age of 10 he started singing. He learned to play the piano from his father at an early age. During his teenage years, he became a born-again Christian. He has his 6 albums and many hits his singles. He has established himself as one of Nigeria’s finest and leading gospel artists.
Music History
Mr. Edwards is a producer and plays several instruments. He is a noted keyboardist and member of the Presidential Band of Pastor Chris Oyahirome’s Christian Embassy Church. He released his debut album “The Definition” in 2008.
This is his 14 track album distributed by Honesty Music. In 2010, he released his second album, Angels on the Runway, and in 2011, his third album, Unlimited.
Tagjam was released in November 2011. In 2013, he appeared in a live performance of Sinach’s “I Know Who I Am” video.Known for his high-pitched voice. Besides being an artist with many songs covering different music genres, he is also a music producer and master his mixer. As a result, his Rocktown Records, which he owns, have an up-and-coming generation including Gil Joe, King BAS, Divine, Nkay, Soltune, and David.
In 2016, he collaborated with renowned American gospel his artist Don Moen on the album Grace. His album was produced in 2016 with incense. In 2018, he released an album for the body of Christ called Spiritual Music Season which includes songs like “Miyeruwe” (I Praise Your Name), “You are Good”, “Who dey run things” and “Praise Your Name”. has been released.
Most recently he collaborated with Nathaniel Bassey (Thy Will Be Done) and Janine Zoe (I’m in Love with You) in 2018.
