Rhapsody Of Realities 14 June 2022 By Pastor Chris Oyakhilome (Christ Embassy): Serve God In Righteousness And Holiness
TOPIC: Serve God In Righteousness And Holiness (Rhapsody of Realities 14 June 2022)
Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God (2 Corinthians 5:20).
Rhapsody Of Realities For Today MESSAGE:
In the verse above, we see the apostle Paul’s careful use of words. In verse 18, he says, “We (all) have been given the ministry of reconciliation.” He then emphasized the importance of this ministry of reconciliation, urging the Corinthian church to take the message to the world.
But Paul wanted something else, and he told them. After emphasizing the importance of reconciliation with God, he went on to say: “Now we are ambassadors substituting for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God. ”(2 Corinthians 5:20).
When he said, “We are Christ’s ambassadors,” he was not referring to the entire congregation of Christ; rather, he was referring to himself and his close associates, such as Timothy, who wrote the letter. He admonished the Corinthian church to be reconciled to God. The people he had told to be reconciled to God are now being told to be reconciled to God. Why?
It’s because they weren’t comfortable. So he said to them: “Just as the spirit said to them, ‘Go to the people of the land and bring them back to God,’ and he said to them: ‘Repent, and become reconciled to God. This is important because as God’s people, we are encouraged to participate in the ministry, to take the message of salvation to the unsaved and to reconcile people to God. But while you are there, live a life pleasing to the Lord.
Christianity is a call to righteousness and a walk in righteousness. Do not dwell in sin. The Bible says that sin will not rule over you (Romans 6:14). Serve God with holiness and righteousness. Stay in the Word and practice your Christianity, no matter what the pressure. Live the life of a good person every day.
PRAYER
Dear Lord, thank you for giving me a nature of righteousness so that I can live a life of righteousness. I walk in righteousness, and bring forth works, and fruit of righteousness. I am the light in a dark world, which illuminates the paths of sinners to see and be brought into the kingdom, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Ephesians 4: 20-24 (KJV)
20 But ye did not so learn Christ;
21 If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus:
22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; 23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.
2 Corinthians 5: 17-21
17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.
20 We are therefore ambassadors on behalf of Christ, as though God were entreating by us: we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.
21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
