MEMORISE: “So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.” – Ephesians 5:28 (KJV)

READ: Ephesians 5:21-33 (KJV)

21 Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.

22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.

23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.

24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.

25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;

26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,

27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.

29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:

30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.

31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.

32 This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.

33 Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.

Open Heaven 17 June 2022 MESSAGE:

Many husbands complain that their wives do not humiliate them. I have been married for over fifty-four years now, and I have had the privilege of being used by God to help solve many marital problems through personal experience and the word of God.

In a Christian marriage, wives are to be in subjection to their husbands as to the Lord (Ephesians 5:22). Over the years, however, I have seen a few reasons why some wives find it difficult to be submissive to their husbands. The first is that if the wife does not feel loved. I want you to know that I did not say, “If she is not loved”, but I said, “If she does not feel loved”. You cannot love someone the way you want to, you must love him the way he loves you, so that he can feel loved. If a wife does not feel loved, she will probably find it very difficult to be submissive, as the Bible says.

Understand your wife and know what makes her feel loved. Some husbands think that buying out the gift would be an expression of love, while their wives wanted to spend time with them. A man should not always spend time with his wife in prayer; sometimes it has to be just play. A lot of people see me as a very determined person, but without the closed doors and my wife, I play a lot. I really enjoy spending time with my wife. One day, shortly after arriving in the United States, I went to our room, only to discover that my wife had gone to another part of the house. When he did not return to our room after a while, I went looking for him. One of the people in the house asked, “Dad, why do you want Mom so much, you weren’t together all the time on the plane? Didn’t he leave you a few minutes ago? “I jokingly told him to pay attention to his stories.

During the day, call her regularly to let her know that you are thinking of her. My traveling companions know that no matter how far I go from home or how busy I am, I should always talk to my wife. I always tell her I love her so it is easy for her to humble herself.

Naturally, women may find it difficult to be submissive to someone who does not love them. Please consider what you can do to show your spouse that you truly love him or her and that you do it consistently.

I want you to have a meeting with your spouse this morning. Ask him or her if he or she feels loved, then ask for what you can start doing to demonstrate your love.
