BIOGRAPHY

Onoriode Ebiere Ariyo, known professionally as Onos Ariyo, is a Nigerian-based singer-songwriter. She is best known for her critically acclaimed song “Alagbara,” written and produced by Nigerian music producer Wilson Joel. In September 2018, she was included in the Global Top 100 Most Influential People of African Descent (MIPAD).

0nos was born in Delta State in southern Nigeria, where she completed her primary and secondary education, after which she was admitted to Delta State University in Abraka, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in French. 0nos started singing from primary school and was a member of various choirs and groups before moving to Lagos in 2004 where she began recording her first official single “Dance” which was produced by FLO.

CAREER

Following on from the successful release of her debut single “Dance”, 0nos has led several gospel concerts in Nigeria including The Experience – Lagos, which has been described as the largest gospel concert in the world, where she has shared the stage with a number of notable international gospel artists including Travis Greene , Kirk Franklin and Donnie McClurkin.

In 2010 0nos released her debut album Keep Moving, which featured the songs Dance and Na Your Love and featured Jamaican international gospel singer Chevelle Franklyn, but her big break came with the release of her 2014 album No Limits, which featured her on The Breakout Hits Alagbara and Everything Has Changed.

The success of the album as well as the single Alagbara led to her nomination for several awards in the Gospel category.
In 2015, she became the Nigerian coordinator of the Women of African Origin in Music Ministry (WAOMM), under whose platform she mentors and nurtures emerging gospel artists. In 2012, Onos created For the Love of the Season, a music and style scene show that brings the fashion and music industries together.

In 2018, she began hosting a monthly live worship event called B R E A T H E.
In 2017, she released her third studio album, Songs from the Place of Prayer, to rave reviews.
On July 28, 2019, she released her fourth studio album, Breathe, on music streaming service Boomplay.
