Tope Alabi Biography
Tope Alabi (born October 27, 1970) is a Nigerian gospel singer, film music composer and actress. It is also known as Ore ti o common and Agbo Jesu.
Tope Alabi was born on October 27, 1970 in Lagos State. She was born into the family of Pa Joseph Akinyele Obayomi and Madam Agnes Kehinde Obayomi. She is the only daughter of three children in the family. She is married to Soji Alabi.
She is from Yewa, Imeko, Ogun State, Nigeria. She received her West Africa School Certificate from Oba Akinyele Memorial High School, Ibadan in 1986. After that she went to Polytechnic Ibadan, where she studied mass communication and graduated in 1990.
Alabi was formerly a member of the comedy group Jesters International. She later collaborated with other popular touring and stage theater groups in Ibadan and Lagos. She directed films in Nigeria’s Yoruba film genre.
Tope_Alabi later changed her focus to gospel music after becoming a born-again Christian. On May 21, 2019, Nigerians crowned Tope Alabi as the Queen of the Yoruba Language on Twitter as a result of a United Bank for Africa contest to mark their 70th anniversary.
On June 13, 2021, she was criticized for her comments on a song titled Oniduro Mi, which sparked outrage from other gospel artists.
She is married and has two daughters. She currently attends Living Faith Church.
TY Bello Biography
Toyin Sokefun-Bello (born January 14, 1978), better known as TY_Bello, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, photographer and philanthropist. Prior to her solo career, she was a member of the now-defunct gospel band Kush. TY_Bello is also a member of the Nigerian photographers collective Depth of Field. She is best known for her singles “Greenland”, “Ekundayo”, “This Man”, “Freedom” and “Funmise”.
