Lauren Daigle and ‘AGT’ Contestant Ava Swiss Perform at Red Rocks
Two-time GRAMMY Award winner and multi-platinum selling artist Lauren Daigle completely surprised the crowd last night during the second of her two-night stint at Colorado’s iconic Red Rocks Amphitheater when she called out the former ‘America’s Got Talent’. contestant Ava Swiss. The two performed Daigle’s 2018 song “Remember,” a poignant moment that holds special meaning for Swiss, who is also a survivor of the Oxford High School shooting.
“Ava has something so powerful to sing about,” Daigle explained. “I was so moved by her story … her bravery, I went backstage earlier and started bawling (because) I’m so proud of her and she’s so loved. I hope our donation (to ’42 Strong’) makes a difference. “

Ava’s story is well known thanks to her appearance on AGT, where she revealed that Daigle’s “Remember” helped her get through her experience. Daigle also took a moment to present Ava with a $25,000 check (donated through Daigle’s Price Fund) to benefit “42 Strong,” a nonprofit organization founded by one of the victim’s families whose mission is to “create a better future by helping students develop a greater sense of purpose, community and resilience.”
Additionally, Daigle’s Price Fund will match that donation and send an additional $25,000 to the Colorado Healing Fund, an organization whose mission is to “provide immediate and long-term support to the families of victims and survivors” of mass violence. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house or on stage when Ava and Lauren embraced.
