Kenneth Copeland Devotional 25 July 2022 – Don’t Let Your Faith Slip
Topic: Don’t Let Your Faith Slip (Kenneth Copeland Devotional 25 July 2022)
Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip. – Hebrews 2:1
Kenneth Copeland Devotional Message
Something very serious has happened to the body of Christ. We have often let what we heard—the message of faith and righteousness—slip away.
I’m not just talking about the believers who have been so surrounded by religion that they have never heard of the power that is theirs in Christ Jesus. I’m speaking for those of us who have heard the Word of God and know the thrill of living by faith.

For example, in my own life there have been times when I prayed for healing. I would say the right words, “Thank God I think I’m getting…” and all that. But inside I would think I’m wondering why isn’t God healing me?
You see, even though I said I believed I was healed, I really wasn’t. I had faltered in the face of God’s promise and believed what my body was telling me instead of the Word of God.
I don’t care how long you’ve been a believer or how long you’ve been a believer. They can easily slip into unbelief about the promises of God. And if you do, it will cost you dearly.
“But if it’s so easy to slip into disbelief,” you may say, “how can we avoid it?”
Hebrews 4:11 tells us, “Let us work to enter into that rest, lest any fall after the same example of unbelief.”
We have to work! Not by working with our hands and feet or struggling to get God to do something, but by spending time in God’s Word—holding on to God’s promises by faith day in and day out. We must struggle, listening to the Word and refusing to let it slip away.
Don’t be indifferent to the word. Don’t make the mistake of thinking, Oh, I know all this belief stuff. I know how to receive my healing. If you do, you will slack off and one day the devil will catch you off guard and blind steal.
Instead, dig deeper in the Word of God than ever before. Work! Be diligent lest your faith slip—and you don’t have to fall!
