DOE: “When I Pray” Ranks #1 Song on Two Gospel Charts
The DOE chart-topper scores another No. 1 hit as her latest single, “When I Pray,” is #1 for two straight weeks on two gospel radio charts. “When I Pray” spends its second consecutive week at No. 1 on Billboard’s Gospel Airplay Chart and the MediaBase Gospel Chart, marking the second No. 1 single from the three-time GRAMMY Award-nominated artist’s solo album CLARITY, following No. 1 of her album, single “Brighter”.
D.O.E’s uplifting ballad “When I Pray” delivers a powerful reminder of finding God’s love through struggles and connecting in prayer. Her debut full-length CLARITY is an 11-track inspirational album, all songs written by D.O.E, released earlier this year on Jonathan McReynolds’ Life Room Label in association with RCA Inspiration.

D.O.E has garnered praise for her introspective songwriting and rousing performances, and recently filmed a performance for TBN’s Praise, along with Newsboys artists Tasha Layton and Ruth La’Ontra, she was inducted into the Female Songwriters Hall of Fame, which also honored Naomi Judd. , Valerie Simpson, Dawnn Lewis, Jody Watley, Jekalyn Carr, Siedah Garrett among others and has several nominations at the upcoming Dove Awards on October 18th in Nashville.

She began her music career as a teenager performing with her family in their band Forever Jones, earning DOE two GRAMMY Award nominations for her recordings, and as a solo artist, DOE was nominated a third time for her performance on Jonathan McReynolds’ hit “Cycles.” .”
