Bsenjo to release “Trumpet Sound” ft. Soweto Gospel Choir
Gospel Music Minister Bsenjo fulfills Scripture by taking the gospel to the ends of the earth and she uses 2 of the centers of gospel music in Africa despite being of Cameroonian descent and residing in the United States of America.
Christened Belinda Senjo, she celebrated her 30th birthday on August 29, 2022 and will also release her highly anticipated single “Trumpet Sound” with the renowned South African gospel music group Soweto Gospel Choir. The single is scheduled for release on September 15, 2022.
As mentioned, her eyes are on the world, so she doesn’t limit her musical reach to Cameroon, where she’s from, but opened the windows to Africa – which includes Nigeria – to reach the globe.
She also hopped onto the Soweto_Gospel_Choir’s platform for amplified effect. The anticipation for the single is already building, but if you ask Bsenjo, it’s actually easier said than done.
Getting the South African group was not that easy as they were dealing with their very busy itinerary. However, B.s.e.n.j.o was determined to achieve her long-term goal of featuring the heavyweight of African gospel in her song. Despite the hurdle, she caught the group’s attention, but there were more hurdles to overcome.
The Soweto Gospel Choir challenged her to present a song that reflects her strength. If Bsenjo doesn’t think of it, then the journey stops. She proved her dexterity with creative genius and came up with a perfect song in no time. The recording was done via email for the producers.
When the fog lifted and the road cleared, there was one more road to cross. The video shoot is pending and the Soweto Gospel Choir has to choose a date that is convenient for them due to a lot of travel. This didn’t come in time, but Bsenjo must be on standby to meet when they finally did. A 2-day window has finally opened. She was informed spontaneously, but must leave Maryland, USA, and be in South Africa immediately. In addition, she has to put together a team for the video shoot.
Going on the air alongside her manager, she survived the stress of the 16-hour flight and immediately got to work. Thanks to the amazing team, the video turned out beautifully without showing any telltale signs of the hard work that went into it.
Bsenjo carried himself with so much grace and finesse. She was a good fit with the Soweto Gospel Choir and definitely created a classic, evergreen piece that will become one of the building blocks of African gospel music history.
Belinda Senjo, also known as Bsenjo, returned from her 5-year hiatus as a gospel artist in 2021 and released the song “Risen Lord”. She has made famous covers and garnered a number of followers on social media. These covers are songs by artists like Beyoncé, Mariah Carey, Tasha Cobbs, and CeCe Winans.
She auditioned for America’s Got Talent in 2014 and 2017, after which she decided to release her own song. Her 5-year hiatus was a time for reflection and reconnection with God, so when she returned in August 2021, she was ready to minister the world for Jesus Christ with the message of the gospel.
